Gaskets
Mowtec manufacture Gaskets and other sealing solutions for a variety of actors across the aerospace, maritime, automotive, printing and medical industries. With over three million O-Rings and Gaskets manufactured to date, Mowtec have become a niche and strategically placed key supplier to many of aerospace’s largest and most influential OEM’s.
Mowtec can manufacture Gaskets to almost any specification, and often compress mould our own rubber sheeting to various widths to use in our Gaskets, but can also source more specialist materials should the specification demand it. Gaskets are an excellent mechanical seal used to prevent leakages where two objects are joined by compression, and offer a host of advantages of use across multiple applications:
- Tolerant of a wide range of pressures and temperatures, and can resist most environment extremes
- Unlikely to cause structural damage during assembly or life-span
- Tried and tested sealing mechanism
- Prevent leakages on ‘less than perfect’ mating surfaces
- Can fill irregularities on two joining surfaces, allowing for greater tolerance verification in component design
- Failure is usually easily identified, allowing corrective action to be taken prior to incurring any damage or performance degradation
